Description: 1926 WINCHESTER 54, MARKED .30GOV'T'06 Purchased in 1978 in its current condition, placed on dIsplay and never fired since purchase. Beautiful figured stock in excellent condition. Blue is good+ except for light wear around the muzzle. Scope is a Lyman Alaskan with finish wear. Scope mount is Griffen & Howe premium with bright color case and French Grey rings. Color case magazine cover and accents are still bright. This 98 year old rifle shows loving care and rates a 90+ for its age. I have reduced the rating to reflect the blue and the fact that the peep aperature for the rear sight is missing. The peep slide had to be removed in order to mountthe the scope. A great oportunity to own a vintage Winchester Model 54 in this condition. Rare 24" barrel, LOP 13 1/2, weight 9 lbs. Scope has thin cross hair on fine post.
