For sale is a classic Ruger M77 Original Tang Safety bolt-action rifle, chambered in the flat-shooting 7mm Remington Magnum. This rifle is in great used condition and is estimated to be from the early production era, around 1972. It is a fine example of Ruger's early attempt to modernize the legendary Mauser 98 action for the American hunter.
This rifle features the iconic and desirable two-position tang-mounted safety and a Mauser-style claw extractor on its controlled-round-feed bolt. It is a long action with a 24-inch barrel (standard for 7mm Rem Mag). The receiver is topped with the original integral Ruger scope mount bases, fitted with Ruger rings holding a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope. The stock is classic American walnut.
