The Santa Fe 1903 A3 rifles were assembled post WWII in the 50s from surplus GI parts, except for the receiver which was investment cast. The receivers earned a bad reputation for failures during firing even factory ammunition. However, there are still shooters who field these rifles using reduced loads.
