Here is one of those rare early rifles that is as much a work of art as a firearm! Offered for your consideration is this fine Standard Arms pump action in the very rare carbine version. The 19 1/2 inch carbine length barrel is seldom seen, most of the rifles were equipped with 22 to 25 inch barrels. Made in 1914 this carbine is in 30 Remington caliber. A period Lyman model 38 receiver sight is mounted in place of the standard barrel mounted rear sight. The special order deluxe black walnut stock has some exceptionally attractive figure! It's a beautifully made carbine that was apparently too advanced to be accepted by the hunters at the turn of the last century!
