This is a very honest hunting Model 70. The Pachmayr recoil pad was made for Thurman Randle & Co. in Dallas, Texas, they were at 208 N. Akard St. Thurman Randle had a gun supply store there in the 1930's and 40's. He was the NRA president in 1952 and on the Board of Directors from 1944 to 1946.
