Description: Up for sale is a Bullard Large Frame Rifle in 45-85 Bullard. This is a 7-screw example. Serial number 778. Marked "Cal 45" over the breech. Marked "Bullard Repeating Arms Company Springfield Mass U.S.A PAT Aug. 16. 1881" on the left side of the receiver. These rifles are rare and relatively unknown. Some sources say Bullard never made any more than 2800 rifles; others say up to 12,000 rifles in their production life of 1883 - 1890. Some sources also say there were also no more than 1700 of these Large Frame Rifles ever made. This a prime opportunity to own a scarce and forgotten piece of American history.
