Smith Enterprises M1A “National Match” Pre Ban
From the same hoarder/enthusiast’s collection as some of the mint Colt 1911’s and AR15’s we bring you this Smith Enterprises M1A match rifle. The forged receiver is Serial # 002257 and was manufactured in Mesa AZ. This is a double lug “national match grade” Smith Enterprises receiver, it is so enumerated. From there the previous owner built it into a super match grade rifle and spared no expense. The build, the rifle is equipped with National Match Sights (NM/2A), a Krieger stainless steel match grade barrel marked 30 and 10, the rifling is perfect and flawless, TRW Bolt part # 7790186. The rifle is bedded in a McMillian composite stock. The trigger is a two stage and breaks clean at 4.5 lbs. The rear sight assembly is marked NM for National Match. The butt stock is fitted with the GI hinged butt plate. There are some orange witness marks on the rear sight and according to the heirs, our local expert and my observation this rifle appears to have been fired, but sparingly at best. There are only the slightest bright spots on the receiver rails, the magazine well exhibit only light use as does the operating rod. There were no magazines when I brought this consignment in. I will supply one 20-round magazine and and one 10 round magazine along with the operators manuals I ordered and received from Springfield Armory with this rifle. The rifle weights 11 ½ lbs. It has a flash hider with the bayonet lug. This rifle cannot be shipped to restrictive states in its present configuration. KNOW YOUR LOCAL LAWS.
Shipping will be $28.00 USPS Priority Mail if east of the Mississippi River, West will be $31.00, West Coast states $38.00. Alaska and Hawaii will need a quote.
