RARE Hagen Fullstock Rolling Block Sporting Rifle
Description: Not likely to see another. This is a very rare rifle in the US. It is a fullstocked rolling block sporting rifle built or marketed by L.H. Hagen of Christiania [Oslo], Norway. Similar to Husqvarna No. 4 rifles, these are a bit nicer. Chambered in 12.7x44R, cases can be easily fabricated from .50 Alaskan. It has a 31.25" octagonal barrel with finish turned plumb. The sights are special adjustable "Norsk" (Norwegian) style. Bore shows some grain and minor pitting, but rifling is deep and sharp. The Walnut (?) stock is in very good condition with some small bumps and bruises. No cracks. A very worn sliver missing on underside of forestock. There is checkering at wrist that is slightly worn. Cheekpiece for right handed shooters. Brass escutcheons for barrel wedges. The forecap is horn. One side repaired. Steel buttplate. LOP is 13.75". Weighs 8.35 lbs. Hard to let go, but I have two Husqvarna No 4s. $2000 + Shipping. Price: $2,000.00 Contact Seller |
