The L59 (Medium) action was designed for .308 length cartridges. The rifles were produced in the mid to late 50s and then morphed into the L571 also known as the Forester model. They have proven to be exceptionally accurate and this one, chambered in .243 Win, should be a delightful light big-game and heavy varmint gun. It has a light hardwood stock with cheek piece, and elevated comb. The rifle, with the scope, weighs under 8 pounds. It would make a wonderful all-around rifle for someone of smaller stature. .243 Winchester

Wood Condition: Very good. There are some minor handling marks.
