This is a Beaumont Vitali model 1871/88. I don‚t really think it was made by Simson and Company. I think it seems the most likely to be made by J.F.J. Bar in Delft as the stock cartouche indicates. Originally a Beaumont Rifle that was converted for the Dutch to accept a magazine via Vitali, it was one of the first repeater model rifles ever adopted by a military in the world. The bluing is almost non existent and the stock has been refinished. There are still cartouches in the stock that are visible as well as the various proofmarks located throughout the gun.
