Beautiful Swiss Bern K31 rifle with arsenal reworked stock, detachable W/F diopter target sights, and commercial sling, now in "virtually new" condition. A gorgeous gun that should please the most discriminating collector/shooter!
Description:
Standard configuration Swiss military K31 rifle, made by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1941, with standard front and tangent rear sight, the latter graduated from 1-15. Receiver with deeply impressed Swiss Cross-in-Shield, the full serial number appearing on the left side of the receiver, top of bolt, and bottom of magazine, the last three digits on barrel shank. Crisp stock with sharply contoured pistol grip, though the acceptance on right side of stock is faint and under finish. Now fitted with top quality WF front and rear diopter sights: the front post sight with protective leather cover is attached over the standard sight while the rear sight is attached to the receiver. Removing the sights brings the rifle back to its unaltered configuration. Commercial leather sling.
Condition:
The rifle appears as nearly new with the blued metal parts retaining 99.9% of their original finish to include the blued buttplate. The handguard and stock are in comparable condition though, as the acceptance on the right side of the stock is faint and under the finish, at some point, the stock must have been arsenal refurbished. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. Comparable condition sling. A fabulous-looking K31 military rifle with detachable W/F diopter sights!
