Description:
This single shot of unknown caliber rifle was manufactured in Hamburg Germany by E. Hoerning. Gun is typical of fine German engineering and quality. Wood remains solid but shows many years of use with some scratches, dings and nicks. Large impression in right front forend with a small chip missing from bottom forend under receiver. Metal has light oxidation from age but remains solid with beautiful engraving. "Diana" is engraved on left receiver, more than likely to clebrate the Roman goddess of the hunt. Lever is also engraved and gun has a double, set trigger. Bore is excellent! Lockup is still tight and function appears good. Cool piece of hunting history!
