FINE GERMAN DRILLING WITH AUSTRIAN SCOPE, MADE IN 1920, COMBINATION RIFLE, 12 GA, 9.3 X 72MM
Description: This is a high quality German drilling chambered in 12 ga+ 9.3x72mm. I have half of original box of shells( 5 or 6 rounds with some brass) that I will include with it. Barrel length is 26 1/2 inches, Bores are excellent, action is crisp, optics are clear. Barrel stamps indicate the gun was made in novemeber of 1920. Wood is near perfect, no cracks or splits, with one tiny orange repair to the handguard. Matching serial numbers. Barrels retain at least 85% original blue. The gun is somewhat unusual as it resembles British double rifles more than German ones, with an underlever and fine floral enrgraving. Most German drillings of the period feature deep chiseled hunting scenes on the receiver and locks. I cant find the name on the gun, its most likely under the scope mount which is not original to the gun but was professionally fitted circa WWII. CR is acceptable for this gun. Thanks, check my other listings. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
