Description:
Gustloff Werke "bcd" Code Model 98 Mauser Sporter Rifle, made circa 1941. This rifle was representative of Germany's primary infantry arm during World War II. It remains the standard by which even modern bolt action rifles are judged. The left side of the frame is marked "MOD. 98". There are also various German proof and acceptance markings. Many of these rifles were "sporterized" after service use and are popular with hunters worldwide due to the reputation of the Mauser 98 action. This rifle is still in good shape and would make a nice addition to your hunting arsenal. 8mm Mauser
