Description: An exceptional European, Possibly Austrian wheel lock honting carbine, with extremely rare internal wheel and a sliding cover. The gun is in the style of a tschinke, But shorter, with stag inlays, and a swamped octagonal rifled barrel, and screw set double set trigger. The lock is of exceptional quality with handsome engraving. There are stag inlays in a number of places on the stock, including 5 on the patch box cover. The trigger guard is brass. The Roman numeral "XX!X" is carved on the underside of the stock. The bore is approximately 60 caliber with very deep rifling. The butt plate is horn. There is a faint cartouche on the rear of the lock.
Condition-- A good honest example showing signs of use and age. The wooden ramrod is a probable old replacement See photos
