This unmarked Schuetzen rifle has a 29 1/2 inch octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore that appears to have been relined neatly during the period of use. The barrel retain about 70% original blue showing some edge wars turning to gun metal gray. The matted top rib is groved for mounting sights and there are German proof marks on the bottom of the barrel. The action retains about 50% of the case colors with the balance a mix of gray-brown and silvery patina. The action has a hole through the breech to facilitate cleaning the barrel. The stock is elaborately carved and the check piece has been repaired. It has a fully adjustable rear sight, protected front bead sight and adjustable double triggers Has 1891 Proofs.
