Japanese Murata Infantry Type 22 8x53 R (AL3127)

Description:

Japanese Murata Infantry Type 22 8x53 R caliber rifle. Rare, this is their first small bore bolt action repeater and was adapted by Japan in 1889. It has a tubular magazine underneath the barrel. Non matching serial numbers. The bore has strong rifling and is dark in the grooves. The wood shows dents and dings with a couple of hairline cracks at the upper tang. Good over all condition and hard to find. Scarce Repeater Murata.
