Stevens Mod 44 25 RF & 5mm Rem Mag Scoped

Restored gun with original half octagon sighted 25 Stevens barrel (fair bore) as well as second new stainless barrel in 5mm Rem Mag, with new Leatherwood 6x 3/4" "short" target scope on blocks. Action gone thru, extractor refitted, bone charcoal recolor, new walnut forend made, buttstock refinished (hand rubbed oil). Sights on 25 barrel are new reproduction sights; receiver has replacement barrel screw, hammer spring, firing pin; tang has repair (screw holes welded and retapped); and buttstock has lost its original buttplate, been cut down and lengthened. So nothing to collect here, just a fun nostalgic shooter in a great caliber with ammo now available from Aguila/Centurion. The icing on the cake is the gun in 5mm guise is a tackshooter as well as a head-turner. Test fired only (astonishingly accurate). The replacement wood in the photo is available separately.
