J. Rigby & Co. .416 Rigby for Big Game  

 The rifle is a single square bridge set up for iron sights only, It was built in London in 2015 and has a single stage Mauser trigger, tradtional flag safety that is marked “SAFE” ... The bolt knob is smooth, has a nitrile blued extractor and bolt release, and a drop belly magazine that holds 4 rounds down. The one-piece bottom metal has a straddle floor plate w/ an inside-the-bow release.
The top of the action ring is engraved w/ "Rigby’s Special .416 Bore for Big Game"
The 22” barrel is unique in that it has a heavy barrel from the receiver to the swivel band and steps down to the end of the barrel. I am told this was an early Rigby design dating back to the 1920's or 1930's and they made a limited run of...It has Rigby’s pattern quarter rib w/ a single standing and 2 folding leaf Express sight  w/ their respective distances (150, 250yds) engraved. It has a barrel band front sight w/ an adjustable brass bead and a removeable front sight hood. 
 The rifle is stocked in a Grade 7 walnut stock and has a 14 ¾" LOP (factory length)
The grip cap and a single recoil bar are color case hardened and the grip cap has a spring loaded hinged door where a second front sight is stored. The stock has a sling swivel along the toe line and a barrel band front sling swivel.
It has a sterling silver oval on the toe line of the stock that remains blank. 
 The rifle comes with original manual and factory test target as well as Rigby hard case and Rigby factory leather sling.
