Rigby "Mauser Sporting" bolt rifle chambered for the .275 Rigby cartridge by John Rigby & Co from 1932. It has a 21-1/4” barrel with a rear barrel band lined express sights - 1 standing regulated for 100 Yds. & 2 folding leaves regulated for 200 and 300 Yds, island base tipped blade foresight and eye for sling. Top of the barrel is engraved in old style English script 'John Rigby & Co 43 Sackville St London.' A 3-position Winchester Model 70 style side safety. Best quality walnut stock with pistol grip fit with a hard rubber grip cap, 3/8" Pachmayr Old English rubber recoil pad and eye for sling. 6 Lbs. - 12 Oz. without scope - 7 Lbs. - 14 Oz. with scope and rings, Scope is a Karl Kahles Hella 6 S2 - 6 x 42 with German claw-type bases and rings. When rifle is shouldered and cheek comfortably resting on the stocks comb one can shoot clearly with the iron sights. To use scope one needs to lift head higher.
