Here is the story. My 86 year old friend received this for Christmas around 1950-1952. The outer sleeve, has his fathers name on it, and is marked paid. These JCHiggins rifles were sold through Sears and Roebuck. Possibly a lay-a-way or special order. It is a JC Higgins model 31, 22lr semi-auto rifle, in its original box, with the original pamphlet, with the original outer JC Higgins labeled outer box sleeve! This rifle has seen very limited use. It comes with a 'red' retractable rifle sling, a scope, labeled JC Higgins Rifleman 4x. You receive a 70+ year old 22lr semi-auto rifle with a great story and cool history.
