Description:
The J.C. Higgins Model 103.228 is a vintage, highly reliable bolt-action rimfire rifle sold through Sears, Roebuck & Co. between 1955 and 1959. Because Sears contracted major domestic gunmakers to build their "house brand" firearms, cross-reference records indicate that the 103.228 is actually a rebranded Marlin Model 80 or Marlin Model 81 sub-variant. Built on Marlin's legendary rimfire architecture, this rifle features a robust, smooth-cycling manual bolt action. It is highly regarded for its longevity and simple mechanical design. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle
