Kimber Model 82 Non-Cataloged "SG" Cascade .22 LR, New in Box, Rare and Documented

Description:
Kimber Model 82 SG .22 LR, new in the original box.  The serial number is SG51; this may be the earliest Kimber stocked with the "Cascade" stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece.  The SG was Kimber's original attempt to produce a high grade when they were starting production of the 82's.  The original SG's are rare (approximately 53 were made), and I've never seen another in the Cascade model.  This rifle shipped in May 1981.  Some of the SG's were sent out to be stocked by Bishop and Fischer, but this example features a stock made by Kimber in-house.  

It was shipped to Earl Kelly, who was a noted Kimber collector, dealer, and strong influence on Greg Warne.   Please refer to the "Kimber Enthusiast's and Collector's Manual" by Paul Eaton to verify the serial number.  If you want a special Kimber 82, do not let the possibility to own this investment piece pass.
