Marlin 99 M1 22LR

Description:
This Marlin Model 99 M1 is a tubular feed semi-automatic rifle chambered in 22 LR with a 9-plus-1 round capacity. Styled to resemble the US Army M1 Carbine this rifle has an 18-inch barrel adorned with a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight mounted on a 3/8" dovetail built into the receiver. The stock and handguard of the Model 99 M1 are made from smooth unfinished walnut.  It was manufactured in 1967 as the barrel is stamped EK see picture 14. Note that rifles made before 1968 did not have serial numbers.  The Micro Grooved barrel is in great condition. The original pamphlet/Manual is included.
Both the metal and wood are in excellent condition. The wood has a couple of small compressions from handling. The 3/8 inch dovetail receiver can be used for scope mounts.
I am the original owner of this rifle and many years ago I had to replace the buffer because it failed due to my use of high velocity ammo. if you shoot this rifle it likes standard velocity 22 ammo that is rated for approximately 1070 fps with a 40gr bullet.
