Greifelt & Son Sport Model Hornet bolt action rifle with a 22 inch barrel and chambered in 5.6x35 (.22 Hornet). 22 Hornet, 22" barrel. The left side of the receiver is marked "Greifelt & Co. Suhl-Germany" with the top of the barrel marked "Abercrombie & Fitch N.Y.U.S Agents", all the metal markings on the rifle remain crisp. This quality made rifle appears in the 1938 Abercrombie & Fitch catalog listed as "Greifelt Sport Model Hornet" and features a four round detachable magazine. The receiver has not been drilled and tapped and is sighted with a German silver bead on a matted ramp and a standing leaf u-notch rear sight with an additional folding leaf. The stock is equipped with a checkered horn buttplate. The stock is neatly stamped "Made in Germany" on the toe line. A wonderful compact rifle from this well respected manufacturer, sold by America's famous sporting goods retailer. Rifle is still in good shape and comes with one magazine. A unique rifle you don't see often. 5.6x35mm
