"U.S. Rock Island Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle .30-06 with Bayonet (L2026-05595)
Description:
"Serial no. 367452. Manufactured in 1919 by Rock Island Arsenal, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “S.A./Flaming Bomb/3-39." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle has been modified with the original rear sight removed and a Lyman 48S receiver-mounted peep sight installed, along with a hooded front sight. The barrel date reflects a later Springfield Armory replacement, consistent with arsenal rework. The stock and finish remain in overall very good condition with minimal handling impressions, and a “R.A.-P" cartouche is visible on the left side. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly. The rifle is accompanied by a Model 1905 16"" bayonet with scabbard.
