The Ruger SR-556 has a two-stage piston driven operating system in the Ruger SR-556 provides a smooth power delivery stroke to the action and vents combustion residue out of the bottom of the gas block. Includes a BCM Charging handle, Troy quad rails, rail covers, Adjustable gas block, uses a short two stroke 2-stage piston system, cold hammer forged chrome lined heavy barreled - they last forever and handle heat extremely well. The results are a cleaner bolt, cooler internals and less carbon build up. The gas system has a 4-position adjustable regulator for tuning to a different ammo, dirty conditions and suppressed use. Also sporting a chrome plated piston and parts and the BCG. Its CHONKY but durable.
