This is a beautiful 2011 limited edition 1 of 250 Ruger RSI stainless/Walnut in classic 7x57. In addition, apparently this one is an uncatalogued one of a kind specimen with special hand chiseled embellishment(not laser) by the Ruger Custom Studio/Baron Engraving by renowned Master engraver Rob Bunting. The floorplate on this RSI is hand engraved and signed by Mr. Bunting and is a piece of firearms art by itself. (Probably a $400+ upgrade these days) Mr. Bunting was chosen to engrave Ruger 1 million and 5 million special landmark firearms that are museum pieces.
Won’t find a nicer one if you appreciate the RSI platform. Very nice walnut with dark streaks and nice figure and pristine stainless finish. 18.5 Inch Mannlicher carbine configuration. 1:8.75 Inch twist so will stabilize short and longer bullets if desired.
The rifle is nearly mint with only a few minor hard to see safe marks on the stock from 14 years of storage and occasional movement and is 99.8%+. It looks to have had the rings attached at some time but shows little signs of any use and considered as new. Included are the factory box, Lipsey’s certificate, stainless rings, sling swivel, tool, other factory paperwork and supplies as shown in the photos.
I’ve had this for several years but need to clear out my collection as I approach 80. More to come. Life is too short to not hunt with or just collect and own beautiful firearms.
