Description:
Ruger® built the Precision Rifle® from the ground-up for long-range, tactical shooting. The buttstock attaches to an AR-style buffer tube on a left-folding hinge and is adjustable. The buffer tube accepts any AR-style stock. The upper receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel to minimize distortion; and a 20-MOA Picatinny rail is secured to the receiver with 4 #8-40 screws. The bolt has 3 lock lugs, resulting in superior strength and a 70 degree throw. The bolt handle is oversized for positive engagement and is replaceable with a 5/16"-24 thread. An extended trigger-reach, AR-style grip, and a 45 degree reversible safety selector provides ease of operation, and the rifle is compatible with any AR-style grip and selector. The cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel has 5R rifling and comes with an attached hybrid muzzle brake that effectively reduces recoil, while minimizing noise and blast (thread protector included). The barrel nut enables close tolerance headspacing, and a Marksman Adjustable™ trigger breaks clean to enhance accurate shooting. The Ruger Precision Rifle utilizes a multi-magazine interface that functions with AICS, polymer AR-10, and Gunsite Scout magazines. Manufactured 2015. .243 Winchester
