About Us: I am a custom gunmaker specializing in re-creating pre-World War I sporting rifles, crafted with precision and respect for tradition. Starting with quality rifles such as the Ruger No.1, Mauser, Winchester Model 70, Ruger M77, CZ, or BRNO, I transform them into sleek, slender hunting rifles inspired by the elegance of 1910 designs. I also craft the elegant Faeton Underhammer muzzleloading rifles and Model 1911 .45 Super Longslide pistols. Call me or visit my site, which is listed on some of the photos, for more information regarding my line of fine bespoke firearms. Also check out my Custom Services listing under GUNSMITHING.
.35 WHELEN CUSTOM RUGER NO.1
Description: .35 WHELEN CUSTOM RUGER NO.1 This custom Ruger No.1 has been rebarreled for the classic .35 Whelen cartridge and features a 24-inch Douglas barrel of the “S” configuration for perfect weight and balance. It features a quicker-than-standard twist of 1:12 which will accommodate heavy 300-grain bullets which put this cartridge in the same class as the justly-famous African 9.3x62 and 9.3x64 cartridges. It will also shoot lightweight bullets equally well. In addition to its custom barrel, this Number One also features beautiful casehardening of the receiver, lever, and grip cap. The handsome stocks are original to the rifle and did not require replacement to create this spectacular custom rifle. This also keeps the cost for a Trophy Ruger No.1 at a reasonable price. Custom wood for a Number One will generally add an additional $4000 to the price of the build. This custom Ruger No.1 is a handsome Trophy Rifle that is capable of handling any game in North America with ease, and with heavier bullets, most anything in Africa as well. Additional detail photos are available to serious parties. Price does not include shipping or any other costs incurred by buyer to complete this transaction. SOLD |
