This is an extremely collectible Ruger Number 1S rifle in caliber .45-70 Govt. This rifle was produced in mid-1971 and is one of very few made within the initial production run of number one rifles chambered in .45-70. This rifle is in virtually new condition throughout, and is 100% factory original. The appearance of this rifle is simply outstanding with XXX figured walnut stock,and beautiful deep blue finish. I have never seen nicer wood on a Number One of any type. It is in like new condition, mechanically perfect, and bore is as new also. I see no evidence of firing, use or carry in the field of any kind. There are a couple of very insignificant signs of safe /handling wear only, and I do mean very light and insignificant. The metal and stock finish are both 100%. Markings are all crisp and factory perfect on both the barrel and receiver. Serial number is a 130-011xx range. Overall, a rifle in extremely collectible condition and that, in my opinion, simply could not be improved upon. This rifle is from my private collection and has not been offered for sale before.
