This Ruger model number 01178 was a special build and limited to 5,000 rifles however not all of them sold. They were used to help part of a fund raising effort for the U.S. shooting team with apportion of each one sold going to them. They featured the special thumbhole red, white and blue laminated stock. They wore a 20 inch match barrel with a precision rifled high polished cold hammer foraged spiral barrel. They were also equipped with target trigger. The stock features an inset “RUGER RACE RIFLE” grip cap and the “U.S.A. Shooting Sports” logo.
The rifle has a BSA Sweet .22 3-9x40mm scope with an adjustable objective mounted on it. The rifle shows no use or wear marks and has one factory magazine with it.
