For sale is a Ruger M77 Mark II All Weather "Boat Paddle" bolt-action rifle, chambered in the iconic .30-06 Springfield cartridge. This rifle is in great used condition and represents one of the most polarizing rifles of the 1990s – the infamous "Boat Paddle" with its Zytel stock. Serial Number: 780-41805.
Everyone either loves or hates this gun. The M77 Mark II all-weather bolt-action with "Zytel" stock supposedly wasn't accurate, kicked too hard, and looked tacky. But these rifles have a cult following – they'll last seemingly forever. The stock features interchangeable panels on the pistol grip and forend, with the Ruger logo and eagle emblem molded into the face of the buttstock. The M77 Mark II has a three-position safety and hinged floorplate. It's a rifle of the 90s – heavy trigger pull, non-traditional style stock, kicks like a horse, and has a weird weight distribution. And people love it.
This example has very clear signs of use from an owner who used it to its fullest. The bore is clean but the barrel has light wear and tear on the outside. There are plenty of handling marks all over the Zytel stock. It is topped with a Bushnell High Contrast Optics 3-9x scope in a silvery color.
