Ruger Mini-14, Ranch Rifle, Semi-Automatic, .5.56 / .223 Caliber with Burris 1.75X-5X Full-Field II scope
Description: The questions has come up as to whether this rifle is a 5.56/.223, a 5.56, or a .223. The gun is marked "CAL .223" on the tail of the receiver. However the instruction manuals online at Ruger says that it was designed to shoot either. Ruger has two instruction manuals for this gun which was manufactured in 2001. One instruction manual is for Mini 14s manufactured from 1978 to 2004, and the other is for Mini 14s manufactured from 1982 to 2004. Regardless of which manual applies to this Mini14, both manuals say, "The Ranch Rifle is designed to use either standardize U.S. military or factory loaded sporting .223 (5.5 6mm) cartridges manufactured in accordance with U.S industry practice." I cannot put a URL ( address) as it violates GI rules, email me, and I will send you the address if you wish. Ruger Mini-14, Ranch Rifle, semi-automatic, .5.56 / .223 caliber. Other specifications include: - Hardwood stock/forend - 18 ½ barrel - Blue metal finish - Front sight blade - Adjustable aperture rear sight - 38-inch overall length - 7 pounds unloaded weight - M1 Garand-style safety - Satin stainless-steel receiver - Black flat metal butt plate According to a lookup on the Ruger , the gun was shipped from the factory in 2001. The gun comes with a Burris 1.75X-5X Full-Field II scope (a $350+ value), one five-round Ruger magazine, one aftermarket black nylon strap, and the Mini-14 Owner's Manual.. There are no box, other papers, or other accessories. The overall condition of this rifle is 99 percent. I hesitate to call anything 100 percent that is not New-In-The-Box. The finish on the metal is like new. The wood stock and forend is also like new. There is a small amount scuffing on the magazine, but not much. The owner said he bought it new at a gunshow 17 years ago, fired a couple of boxes through it, and it has been sitting in his safe. The condition of the gun supports this - it obviously has been handled very little. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any areas you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays $45 for USPS Priority Mail and $16.55 for insurance, if desired. If insurance is not desired, deduct $16.55. Per the USPS , insurance is calculated as $9.55 for the first $600, plus $1.40 for each additional $100 (rounded up). The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash, and I don’t have to wait for them to clear. However, I will accept a personal check, other type checks, or other type money orders, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; that includes bank checks and cashier’s checks. Keep in mind that USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, so this purchase will require two USPS money orders. SOLD |
