Very Rare As-New Ruger No.3 Rifle 30-40 Krag 1977 Southport Gun Pre-Warning

Serial # 130-62631, 30-40 Krag, 22” pre-warning barrel with a bright, excellent, no doubt unfired, bore.  WOW !  What a rifle.  Obviously bought and then put away, this amazing rifle is as-new.  It retains all of its factory blue with the bright-polished sides of the breechblock remaining brilliant, the only wear at all beneath the sliding safety button (very typical).  The smooth American black walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent to as-new, we see only two tiny rack dings on the butt, and a few very superficial abrasions on left of forend (you do not even see them unless you bounce the light off just right) – and frankly they would not even warrant the mention were it not for the wonderful condition of this rifle.  The gun functions absolutely flawlessly when hand-tested and has the factory open sights, with Lyman folding rear and brass bead front, factory tapped for scope bases, and includes factory Ruger 90004 scope bases and rings.  As has been said so many times “go find one”, you would be very hard-pressed to find an equal or better example.  As investment-grade as it gets, these old Rugers are becoming harder and harder to find as collectors and savvy arms investors continue to hold them.
