For sale is an Izmash Saiga AK-47 Rifle semi-automatic rifle, chambered in the iconic 7.62x39mm cartridge. This rifle is in great used condition and was imported by TBI of Knoxville, TN. It is a true Russian-made Kalashnikov manufactured by Izhmash – the same factory that produces the original AK-series rifles and SVD sniper rifles, where Mikhail Kalashnikov himself worked. This package includes one 10-round magazine.
The Saiga rifles are a sporter version of the original AK-47, marketed for hunting and civilian use. While the furniture on the Saiga differs from a traditional AK, these are still considered to be true Kalashnikov rifles. They are made in the same Russian Izhmash factory and are not assembled with mismatched parts like many other AK rifles. This Saiga features a standard Monte Carlo stock, a rear-placed trigger, no muzzle brake, and no pistol grip – in short, no "evil features". It is essentially an AK dressed in hunter's clothing.
The Saiga is rather useful in its hunting form and very effective for medium game. It retains the iron leaf sights and a side rail for optics. The barrel is chrome-lined for durability and corrosion resistance.
