• The Sako 85 Premium Safari 375 H&H hunting rifle is handmade by Sako’s highly acclaimed master gunsmiths. These beautiful hunting rifles are crafted individually with a special focus on detail and true perfection. The result is a high performance, aesthetically stunning bolt-action rifle for the most demanding hunters in the world.  When hunting dangerous game, the hunter is faced with life threatening situations and performance is a necessity.  That is why each Sako Safari hunting rifle is hand-finished and the barreled action is epoxy-bedded to the rifle stock to provide the best and most durable fit and accuracy.
• SAKO 85 SAFARI XL ACTION & MAGAZINE - This Sako 85 Safari rifle is built around the Sako 85 Long action size. The bolt itself has three locking lugs and is made from heat treated steel. The smooth bolt operation has a 70-degree lift to cycle rounds. The Sako 85 Safari is a Controlled Round Feed rifle with mechanical ejection.  Controlled round feeding prevents the round from falling out of the chamber when cycled. The action also has an integral machined dovetail rails for scope mounting.  The staggered, two-row magazine of the Sako 85 Safari is made of stainless steel. The magazine is fixed with a hinged floorplate and is loaded through the ejection port. The magazine latch is in front of the trigger guard.  Rifle cartridge capacity is 5+1 of the 375 H&H.
• SAKO 85 SAFARI BARREL & SIGHTS - The Sako 85 Safari barrel blank is honed and cold-hammer forged and finally finished individually by being inspected through an optical fine-tuning instrument: the human eye. This process is known for achieving superior durability and precision in rifles.  The twist for the 375 H&H is 1-12" to optimize accuracy and bullet performance. The barrels come with sights, finished with an elegant glossy surface.  The adjustable iron sights of the Sako 85 Safari model feature a quarter rib, rear shallow-V blade and band-type, hooded front sight with ivory white bead. Each Sako 85 Safari rifle can also be equipped with a premium scope, installed with Sako Optilock Mounts.  The barrel also has a front barrel band sling stud.
• SAKO 85 SAFARI TRIGGER & SAFETY - The weight of pull of the single-stage Safari trigger unit is adjustable from 2 to 4 lbs. All Sako 85 Safari rifles have an extremely durable, all-steel trigger guard that protects the trigger.  The 85 Safari comes with 2-Position Safety w/ bolt release lever which allows unloading while rifle is on safe.
• SAKO 85 SAFARI PREMIUM STOCK - The classical look and feel of the handmade Sako 85 Safari 375 H&H stock is perfectly finished off with a custom-made Pachmayr "British Red" recoil pad. The individually selected high-grade walnut stock features traditional hand-cut checkering and the fore-end and pistol grip cap are finished in a beautiful rosewood. The straight comb line with a minimum drop at the heel enables the shooter to quickly align the eye with either an optical sight or the open sights for fast target acquisition. The transmitting of recoil in a straight line to the shoulder also minimizes muzzle rise. The medium sized pistol grip is designed to provide good overall control. Additional cross bolts strengthen the stock against recoil.  Rear sling stud is inlayed in the stock.
