We offer you a “Gorgeous” Sako L579 Forester .22-250 Bolt Action Rifle Manufactured in 1972 with a Japan Made BSA Platinum 6-24x40mm AO Scope with a Dot. This Sako Forester is a one owner gun which was bought new at Christmas time in 1972. The rifle wears a 23 inch barrel that has an excellent bore with no issues. The bluing on the rifle is in excellent condition with no signs of use or wear. The stock has a few minor marks in it as shown in the pictures but overall is also in excellent condition. Mounted in the factory Sako rings is a Japanese manufactured BSA Platinum 6-24X40mm scope with crosshair and dot reticle. These are quality scopes with excellent optics. As you can see it still wears the original sight hood as well as the factory protective paper around the rear sling swivel. Needless to say it hasn’t been in the field very many times. It is a very accurate rifle with a very fine trigger. The left of the barrel is marked “MADE IN FINLAND”, the top is marked “SAKO / Cal. 22-250”. The left of the receiver is marked “L579 No. 114077” and with two proof/inspection marks. The bottom of the bolt handle is hand-scribed “077”. There are no import markings on the rifle and it is (R2G) ready 2 go! This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $50. This rifle will be shipped in a double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe. Payment to be made by USPS Money Order or Cashier’s Check.
