Description:
This Sako Riihimaki L46 was manufactured around 1956, and is chambered for .222 Remington. The barrel is 24" with a front sight blade dovetailed to a checkered ramped base. The base is slotted for a hood that is missing. The rear sight is a Sako original with elevation adjustments "1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3". The left side of the receiver is marked "SAKO Riihimaki" and the serial number, "35786", and two Finnish proof marks. The right side of the receiver is marked "MADE IN FINLAND". It's also marked with the Importer on the right side chamber ring "SIMPSON LTD GALESBURG IL". The top of the barrel shank is marked with two Finnish proof marks and ".222 REM.". The bottom of the bolt is marked "35786". The stock is a one-piece checkered walnut mannlicher with steel nose cap, barrel band with sling swivel, capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb with cheek-piece, sling swivel in the belly, unmarked initial oval, and a serrated black synthetic Sako buttplate. Comes with a single factory magazine. .222 Remington

Metal Condition: Metal condition rates about 75% with finish loss on the trigger guard edges and nose cap. The rest of the surfaces show minor scattered scratches and light finish wear.
Wood Condition: Fair condition with several scattered minor dings and scratches. The stock also has a few dents.
Bore Condition: Strong rifling with a bright bore.
