This is a very early BOFORS marked L579 manufactured in 1961. I purchased this rifle from a friend of mine in 1978 while stationed at Ft Leavenworth. My friend purchased this rifle from the Spangdahlem AFB Rod and Gun Club in the early 60's for a Roe deer hunt that never happened. The rifle remains unfired to this day. I have the original Sako hang tag and my friend's registration card which was his authority to bring the rifle back to the US in his whole baggage. I have kept this rifle in a low humidity safe for all these years and the rifle looks as new. Period 100/200 meter peep sight New and unused and Sako high 1 inch ring mounts in excellent shape included. This rifle is C&R approved. It has one of the last 12 Land and groove barrels which are known to be extremely accurate. Must ship to an FFL or C&R for $2,100.00 which includes shipping and insurance. Payment accepted is USPS money orders or bank cashier's check. I am a current C&R FFL so make sure your FFL will do the transfer (this is a 60 year old rifle) I checked with the Kansas City ATF and found that with the hagtag as proof of born on date this rifle can be shipped to a C&R 03 or a FFL01.
