Sako ~ L579 Custom Varmint Rifle ~ .22-250 Rem.

Description:
Sako Model L579 Custom Varmint Rifle in .22-250 Remington. Features a 26" medium weighed barrel and a custom laminated varmint stock with roll-over cheekpiece, palm swell, wide/flat bottom forend with forend tip and grip cap. The laminates are of 1/8" width dark wood and 1/32" width of light wood, making for a striking laminated stock compared to most modern factory laminate stocks today. The stock really stands out amongst the crowd!

Manufacturer: Action manufactured from the early 1960s to 1971. Where the stock design speaks to the 1960s and early to mid. 1970s.
Caliber Info: .22-250 Remington.
Metal Condition: Very good condition, with a small few tiny marks.
Wood Condition: Very good with just a few small marks. There is some edge nicks on the front end of the grip cap.
Bore Condition: Very good bore.
Barrels: 26" Custom barrel of unknown manufacture.
Triggers: Appears to be Sako trigger with a wide trigger shoe attached.
Stock: Custom laminated varmint stock.
Stock Dimensions:
13 1/4" Length of pull.
Fore End: Wide flat bottom forend.
Butt Pad: Pachmayr White Line recoil pad.
Weight: 9 Lbs. 14 Oz.
Sights: Redfield rings on unmarked bases fitted to the Sako integral wedged bases.
