Sauer 404 Alaskan Moose custom chambered in ..338 Winchester Magnum. The hand-engraved motif on left side of receiver features a bull moose accompanied by his cow in the Alaskan wilderness. Remaining negative space is tastefully balanced with areas of tight scroll work, to include the trigger guard and magazine floorplate. The barrel is matte-blued with open sights are affixed to engraved bases which have hand-stippled ramps to eliminate glare. Stock and forearm are of Wood Grade 9 Turkish walnut with stunning figure to include burl at the rear. Wood finish is semi-gloss oil. Receiver and associated metalwork is finished in silver plasma nitride to maintain excellent corrosion resistance. 

As with all Sauer 404 rifles, this one is compatible with additional calibers through addition of barrels and, when needed, magazine(s) and bolt head(s). Factory quick-detach saddle scope mounts are available. Comes complete in factory upgraded leather case. 33701 SGR
