Sauer 404 Northern Challenge chambered in .270 Winchester. The hand-cut engraving motif, in French gray against contrasting blued backdrop, is of a brown bear defending its moose kill from a pair of prowling wolves. All scrollwork is French grayed on top of the polished and blued receiver, framed in gold borders, for stunning contrast. The magazine floorplate depicts another brown bear with a large salmon in its mouth, framed top and bottom by French grayed scroll against polished/blued backdrop. Grip cap shows a snarling wolf in Bulino style. 

The barrel is matte-blued with open sights are affixed to engraved bases which have hand-stippled ramps to eliminate glare. Stock and forearm are of Wood Grade 11 Turkish walnut showing stunning figure to include burl at the rear. Wood finish is oil in a tasteful semi gloss.

As with all Sauer 404 rifles, this one is compatible with additional calibers through addition of barrels and, when needed, magazine(s) and bolt head(s). Factory quick-detach saddle scope mounts are available. Comes complete in factory upgraded leather case. SGR
