1899 Savage 38-55 Rifle

Description:
1899 Savage Rifle in 38-55. 26" full octagon barrel that has good markings and retains 45-50% original blue. Special order and rare front sight (see pics). I will rate the bore a 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Receiver retains about 10% original blue with the remainder a nice gray / brown patina. Forend and perch belly stock are in good condition. Forend has a piece of wood missing of right side (see pics). Action functions nicely. All in all a decent rarely found caliber in an 1899 Savage. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it. Please feel free to ask questions.
