The Model 1899 was the predecessor to the beefier Model 99. These were extremely popular with hunters during the first half of the 20th Century. This example is from 1912, according to the serial number. It's in good used condition, and there is some notable damage to the butt plate (see photos). The action is smooth and the bore is clean and bright. No box or case. .25-35 WCF
