Manufactured in 1899. This is one of the few Model 1899 Rifles that were made in 1899. Considering that, it is in very good condition. There are some scattered dings and tool marks on the metal. The original rear sight is missing with the replacement front and tang sight, as described, in their place. The finish on these replacement sights matches the rest of the metal showing they have been there for some time. The Cocking Indicator does not function when tested. .303 Savage
