SAVAGE MODEL 99A LEVER ACTION RIFLE CALIBER .250-3000 SAVAGE - 20" BARREL

RECENT PRODUCTION - 20" ROUND BARREL, FOLDING ADJUSTABLE LEAF REAR SIGHT, RAMPED SERRATED BLADE FRONT SIGHT, STRAIGHT GRIP,  13-1/2" LOP,  SERRATED STEEL BUTTPLATE , 6 LBS 15 OZ

Lever action rifle with 20-inch round blued steel barrel is chambered for the .250-3000 Savage cartridge and is built with a barrel mounted dovetailed folding adjustable leaf rear sight and a ramped serrated blade front sight. Top of the barrel is marked "SAVAGE ARMS WESTFIELD, MASS. U. S. A" and near the frame on the left side".250-3000 SAVAGE" and on the right side "HI - PRESSURE STEEL - PROOF TESTED". The left side of frame ring is marked "SAVAGE MODEL 99A" while the left side of the frame has the rifle's serial number. The rifle is fitted with an internal rotary magazine, cartridge counter on the left side of the frame, brass cocking indicator on the top tang, serrated slide tang safety. The frame is drilled & tapped for scope mounts. The walnut buttstock is fitted with a smooth straight grip and the schnabel forearm is similarly finished. The length of pull is 13-1/2" to a serrated steel buttplate.
