A Classic Rifle" 1917 Savage 99
Description: The Savage 99 is a very interesting rifle and many enthusiasts enjoy collecting the Savage 99. Here you will see many features that Savage collectors look for. The Savage Takedown Model are particularly of interest. This is a very early Model 99 Light Weight Take Down Rifle. DOM is 1915. This was the original saddle carbine. It has the brass cartridge counter, and the original front white metal bead sight, and the original rear flat top sporting sight. It has a checkered trigger which feels good. The bore is shiny and perfect. The forearm, butt plate, and stock all have the same serial number. The metal is in good shape with some hunting marks. The stock has hole where the sling swivel was removed. For a 107 year old rifle it is in great shape and would make a fine hunting rifle.
