GORGEOUS Savage Model 99EG 99 EG Lever Action Rifle Chambered in 300 Savage Manufactured in 1949
Description: Another “ESTATE” firearm listing brought to you from Dust 2 Dollars who prides themselves on showing the complete gun in high quality pictures along with a detailed description for your consideration. We offer you a Very “GORGEOUS” Savage Model 99EG ~ 99 EG Lever Action Rifle Chambered in 300 Savage Manufactured in 1949. This Savage Model 99EG wears a 24 inch barrel with an excellent bore with no issues. The metal finish on the barrel and receiver are in excellent condition. The stocks are both in excellent condition as you can see. There are just a few minor marks on the wood and metal that could be found. The buttplate shows the most wear from sitting in a gun safe for the last 72 years. The case colors on the lever show very little wear that matches the rest of the rifle. As far as alterations over the decades it appears the front sight was changed to accommodate the Redfield tang sight that was installed. No alteration was done when that was completed. At the same time they rear sight was altered in an attractive way to fill the dovetail slot. This is a very “High Condition” 99 Savage not found very often anymore. The left of the barrel is marked “300 SAVAGE”, the right “HI-PRESSURE STEEL – PROOF TESTED”, and the top “SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION / CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A.”. The top of the chamber ring is marked “SAVAGE / MODEL 99”. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number “506901”, the front of the lever boss is marked with a small “Star Burst”. The forearm, butt stock and plate are all marked with the matching serial number “506901”. $1,599 This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL or C&R with signature required for $65.
