25-35 Winchester, serial number 686XX. Half-round half-octagon barrel, cut to 19". Gold bead front sight added. Bore is poor-fair, light pitting and universal wear. Brass counter. Left side of receiver is marked "From W.F. Sheared Tacoma Wa." Barrel retains 50% blue, thinning. Receiver retains 20% blue in sheltered areas, lever retains 20% color case in sheltered areas. Sound mechanical. Receiver shows forging striations. Safety detent spring missing. Forend has piece missing at front with crack coming back about 1/2". Small piece of wood missing at front of receiver on left side, and 1" crack. Buttstock has crack on right side of tang, approx 2". A few large large marrs on buttstock, otherwise minor-moderate wear.
